There is St.Anselm’s church quite close by with some parking available.

Admission Criteria

Before you apply we strongly suggest you go through the official admission policy here.

The school has a supplementary form to fill up in addition to the one you fill up for the Kent Council.

We strongly suggest you go through both the Kent Council official site here and the Dartford Grammar School official website for full details about the 11+ Exam test. Whilst the test is conducted by Kent Council it is the Schools admission policy that determines if your child is eligible. Use the pdf link we provided above to go through the official policy in detail.

Darford Grammar like most other grammars allocates some seats to children in local care as their first priority. The second preference is given to ‘Zone A’ which has 90 allocated places. Your child’s address as defined by HMRC for Benefits is usually used so you must remember to have your address updated to show the correct address or your child could miss a place. This is usually done because there will be cases where parents are seperated or the child lives with the grandparents etc. Interestingly Dartford Grammar does have a clear statement on its website regarding a child’s address that you need to pay careful attention to: “The address must be the pupil’s home address on the day the parent or guardiancompleted theapplication form, which is EITHER owned by the child’s parent, parents or guardian OR leased to or rented by the child’s parent, parents or guardian under a lease or written rentalagreement”. The third preference is another 90 seats made available to all but depending on score. Where this is a tie in the score the address of the child’s residence to school is used to break the tie.

The latest admissions document for 2019 is here . Make sure you print it out and read it in full as this will be very helpful.

Sports

The school does encourage sports like Rugby. However the sports grounds are not adjacent to the school building. This is contrast to other Grammar schools in the area. Wilmington Grammar Schools for instance have over 45 acres of land for sports right next to its schools.
