If you are a resident of Crayford take a look at the map below to find out which Grammar schools are closest to you.
Please do not assume that because a Grammar school nearest to your house is the one you are eligible to apply for. Always check with the County Council. Some schools like Dartford Grammar for instance expects you to be paying council tax to the Dartford Borough. If you are paying council tax to Bexley then you wont be eligible for the Dartford Grammar Schools. Always check with the Council by calling them on the phone. You would be surprised as to how friendly the council can be in advising you about your eligibility to apply.

Admissions
Please check your Council Tax to see which council you belong to. Dartford Grammar for example expects you to be paying council tax to Dartford Borough to be eligible to apply. The 4 grammar schools in Bexley expect you to be paying council tax to Bexley to be eligible. Do not assume that your preference in the final application will override the fact that you are from a different county. It does not work that way. Take Dartford Grammar or Wilmington Grammar for example: both schools expect you to apply to the Kent County Council to be eligible. If you go to the Kent County Council to register for the test – the Council will ask for your postcode. If you are a resident of the county then your child will be given a different date to write the exam and a different process is followed. Moving into Crayford
Sometimes parents tend to move houses. During this time each Council has a different ‘cut off’ date by which the new address will be applied. If your child is already being tutored by us meet the teacher after a class to get some advice on what impact moving your house postcode will have on your childs admission.
Some parents try to be clever and try to use the child’s aunt or grandmother’s postcode to apply to the Grammar School becuase they think this will give their child a better chance.
